Can a speaker have a fan club? If it's a Klipsch speaker it can. First introduced in 1959, the Klipsch Cornwall speaker was designed to serve as a larger, full-range alternative, an upgrade, to the Heresy when used as a center channel speaker between two widely spaced Klipschorns. When it was discontinued in 1990, there was an outcry from consumers resulting in a letter-writing campaign and even a petition to bring back this storied loudspeaker. The result? The new Cornwall III, an integral part of the ongoing Heritage Series from Klipsch. From it, you will hear the result of over 55 years of stringent engineering and class-leading research and development. Like all Klipsch products, the Heritage Series Cornwall III features Horn-loaded Technology -- the guiding design for the first Klipschorn developed in 1946 and for every product that has followed. Horn-loading allows the speaker to deliver very high sensitivity, low distortion, flat frequency response, and broad, controlled dispersion. This translates to unequaled power, detail, and dynamics, the hallmarks of "The Klipsch Sound."

Re-Introducing The Cornwall III

If you long for the long-gone days when it was acceptable for a speaker to be big as a truck, this latest re-issue from Klipsch will be sweet music to your decibel-damaged ears. This famed speaker, now dubbed the Cornwall III, is back and better than ever. A three-way design using horn-loaded compression drivers for the midrange and treble and a direct-radiating 15-inch woofer for the low frequencies, the Cornwall III delivers the full-range bass response of the Klipschorn with sensitivity and output approaching the fully horn-loaded models.

Like the original Klipschorn, the Cornwall III generates rich, full, smooth, ultra-low distortion sound. It also utilizes the same horn-loaded design as the Klipschorn, making it highly efficient and able to produce high volumes consuming very little power and undetectable distortion. Does it have the Model K-33-E 15" fiber-composite cone woofer with folded horn? Check. Does it have the Model K-53-TI 1.75" Titanium Diaphragm Compression Midrange Driver With Exponential MF Horn? Check. The K-107-TI 1" Titanium Diaphragm Compression Driver Tweeter? Check. AVPA1HDCI is equipped with an astonishing six individual power transformers to ensure the ultimate audio and video fidelity, eliminating interference between the various audio and video processing sections.
The AVPA1HDCI is equipped with 12 high definition video inputs (6 HDMI ver. 1.3a inputs/6 components) and an additional 16 standard definition inputs, with deinterlacing, upscaling, and conversion to HDMI outputs via the Silicon Optix HQV Realta reference video processor.

More bandwidth equals more information transmitted through the cable, so the audio can reach its full potential through stereo, Dolby Digital TrueHD, and DTS-HD. The AVPA1HDCI features Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio decoding. With 100% lossless coding technology (thanks to very high bit rates), you'll hear sound identical to the studio master.
Denon also includes their new technology to restore compressed formats including mp3/WMA/AAC. It will reproduce higher frequency range and deeper bass sound. You get HDMI-equipped components in four different zones that can be run at the same time. HDMI version 1.3a has more bandwidth which allows more information to be passed, so it supports 36-bit color depth and xvYCC color space, meaning an even broader range of colors can be used. More colors equals more realism. Even if you don't have the most current components, you can still get high definition entertainment thanks to analog-to-HDMI and HDMI-to-HDMI upconversion. This means that standard definition content can be improved to look like high definition. A high-speed, high-accuracy 12-bit/216 MHz video DAC is used in the video circuitry for component video, S-video, and composite video signals. This DAC enhances the reproducibility of delicate-level video signals, allowing high-definition video to be played back with greater fidelity to the original images. In addition, noise shaped video (NSV) technology improves video S/N for greater signal linearity. A technology called Faroudja DCDi processing uses mathematical algorithms to fill in blank spots and eliminate jagged edges, ensuring the sharpest picture possible.
The AVPA1HDCI also uses AL24 Processing Plus Packaged with DENON Link III (enabling high-speed, high-grade digital signal transmission), and a large-output power amp section and power supply configuration for stable high-power output Expands to four zones and four sources with the Denon AVPA1HDCI. Connectivity and expandability
The AVPA1HDCI provides a terminal for connecting your iPod on the back panel. With the separately-sold ASD1R, you can connect and play your iPod. Each of the 10 amplifier channels features a discrete power amplifier assembly to eliminate interference between channels, and each is equipped with a dedicated DC power supply that ensures optimum fidelity without interference from other channels. High current DC rectifiers and companion high current filter/storage capacitors ensure stable performance with low impedancespeaker loads. Bass can be better
Sure, in the end, a speaker's driver cone produces the audio you listen to, but in order to produce stunning, full, clear audio, a cone has to have a fine-tuned support system. Take for example the surround, or the component that helps keep the cone centered, allowing for freedom of motion. Thanks to Mirage's patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology, the MM-8 is capable of reproducing low-frequency audio characterized by increased excursion, reduced distortion, and improved efficiency. The Elliptical Surround encompasses the cone, allowing it to move identically in both directions, resulting in near zero distortion. And while conventional designs are often plagued with surround dimpling, which causes them to radiate in and out of phase and distort at all listening levels, Mirage's design isn't influenced by dimpling at all. Further, Ribbed Elliptical Surrounds allow for a larger cone surface, resulting in greater efficiency. This design also lets the cone achieve greater peak-to-peak movement, thus allowing it to travel more than double the distance of other cones. These attributes enable Mirage woofers and subwoofers to move incredible amounts of air, ultimately allowing them to play lower frequencies with greater bass extension and fidelity. Bass can be better.
Passive-aggressive bass
An active woofer driver produces most of the bass audio you enjoy. At the same time that the active driver is producing sound by moving air at the front of the driver, however, it is also moving air at its rear. If not properly compensated for, this residual movement of air can cause resonance within the sub's enclosure, ultimately reducing the quality of the audio you hear. With its dual passive radiators, the MM-8 subwoofer utilizes this movement of air to improve the overall bass effect. While the main 8.0" active woofer is driving the bass, the MM-8's two 8.0" passive radiator woofers are being driven by the residual air movement behind the active driver, ultimately improving bass extension and efficiency and allowing for a more compact loudspeaker enclosure.

The stylish three-way OMDC2 center channel features Mirage's OMNIPOLAR technology, creating a 360-degree sound field that brings multi-channel audio tracks to life. The Mirage OMDC2 Center-Channel Speaker offers precise dialogue placement while conveying a spaciousness and presence impossible to achieve from conventional forward-radiating center channel speakers.
Mirage's proprietary OMNIPOLAR technology creates a 360-degree soundfield bringing movies and audio tracks to a "being at the movies" feeling. realistic and so seamless. The OMDC2 offers precise dialog placement while at the same time conveying a spaciousness and presence impossible for conventional forward radiating center channel speakers to achieve.
The OMDC2 is a true three way design featuring a 5.25-inch multi-layer carbon fibre/fiberglass hybrid midrange with underhung motor system, two 6.5-inch proprietary hybrid woofers and a 1.1-inch chambered titanium dome tweeter. Two sets of gold plated binding posts allow the center channel to be bi-amp and/or bi-wired. The OMDC2 features a beautiful hand lacquered curved cabinet. Its stunning appearance and its impressive sound guarantee to make this center channel a timeless classic for all music and home theater enthusiasts.
